We weighed, calipered and folded this $6.87 raglan tee, then packed it into a three-carton consolidation test. It adds grams, not much money — but the size chart, not the scale, is the real risk.

A $6.87 graphic tee is usually an impulse line item, not a decision. That is exactly why we treated the Anti Social Social Club multicolor T-shirt collection as parcel cargo first and as clothing second. If a cheap tee is going into a consolidation box alongside a padded box and a boxed figure, the questions that matter are how much it weighs, how much space it steals, whether it creases into a permanent fold line, and whether the size you receive is the size the chart promised.
We ordered a single sample in size M in the cherry blossom 27 black colorway, logged it on arrival, and ran it through the bench: digital calipers at three points on the knit, a postal scale, a tape measure against the flat-lay, and a fold-and-stack test inside our three reference cartons. Then it went into the reference load — padded box, folded garment, boxed figure — for the three-step corner, edge and face drop routine from waist height onto flat concrete, with photographs of every seam before and after.

The 230gsm claim held up well enough for the price. Double-yarn cotton at that temperature reads as a proper T-shirt rather than a tissue-thin blank, and the print sits flat on the surface instead of pooling in the knit. It is not a heavyweight streetwear tee — 230gsm is squarely mid-weight — but it is denser than we expected from the price point.
The folded footprint, and the billable-weight maths
Folded to a retail-style rectangle, the tee measured roughly 28 × 23cm and stacked to about 2.5cm of height on its own. That is the number that actually matters for packing: one tee is negligible, six tees are a 15cm layer that can push a carton past a size band and change how a consolidator bills you.
On the scale, 238g is well under the threshold at which a single garment moves a parcel into a different weight tier. The tee changed our reference load's total weight by a rounding amount. The tee is not a weight problem — it is a volume and a creasing problem.
Creasing under compression
We folded it flat, packed it under the padded box in the smallest carton, and left it for the duration of the drop routine plus a 48-hour sit. The fold lines along the chest print relaxed out within a day of hanging, but the print across the fold picked up a faint line that was visible in raking light before it faded. If you are buying this to resell or gift, fold it with the graphic facing inward or roll it rather than pressing it under heavier items.
Drop routine results
No punctures, no seam separation, no print scuffing at the corners after all three drops. The tee performed as padding rather than as the thing being protected, which is a point in its favour: a folded cotton layer at 230gsm absorbs shock well, and our boxed figure showed less corner damage with the tee between it and the carton wall.
The neckline wording deserves a closer read
The listing calls the neckline both collarless and a crew neck in different places. Physically, our sample has a ribbed crew neckband, 2.5cm wide, with a clean single row of stitching and no collar stand. So read "collarless" as "no separate collar," not "raw or banded neck." If you are matching this to a specific fit reference, the ribbing is the part to look at in the flat-lay photographs, not the word "collarless."
Sizing is the real cost of getting it wrong
Owners of Anti Social Social Club pieces report genuinely conflicting fits across drops — some tees coming up oversized, others running small enough that buyers size up one or even two. Our single size M sample landed on the looser side of the chart, with no shoulder seam to measure because of the raglan construction, so we took raglan length and flat chest instead. One sample cannot resolve a two-size spread.
At $6.87 the return shipping on a wrong size can cost more than the tee. Before ordering, pull the measurement chart for the exact colorway you selected — the collection spans dozens of cherry blossom print variants numbered roughly 01–29, mostly in black, white, grey and burgundy, and stock across those options is not uniform.
Print care and the known weak point
Buyer reports on ASSC prints are consistent and unflattering: heat is the enemy. Owners advise hand-washing cold and air-drying, and say the dryer will crack and peel a screen print quickly. We washed our sample twice cold and air-dried it, and saw no cracking — but two washes is not a durability verdict, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Treat this as a cold-wash garment and the prints have a fair chance.
The other recurring complaint is more subjective: some buyers call ASSC tees thin blanks with a screen print for the money. At $6.87 our sample clears that bar comfortably; at the brand's original retail prices, the same garment would be harder to justify.
Where this lands for a first order
As a low-risk add-on in a consolidation box, this tee earns its place: 238g, a small folded footprint, a print that survived our handling, and a build that matches the 230gsm claim. The uncertainty is not the fabric or the packing — it is the size label. Measure the chart, pick one colorway, and expect a relaxed fit rather than a precise one.
How we tested
Ordered size M in cherry blossom 27 black. Calipers at three points, postal scale, folded footprint against three flat-packed cartons, and the reference-load drop routine with the tee as the folded garment. Single sample only; print durability beyond two cold washes remains unverified.
