All three routes converge on an iTaobuy warehouse, where visible-condition QC, consolidation and international dispatch become separate decisions. MegaShip adds an oversized DDP sea-freight option for eligible loads. For a beginner, the practical question is not only the 0% agent-fee headline, but which route controls the order, what evidence is recorded, and which charges appear at each handoff. Seller availability, exchange rates, routes and shipping quotations can change, so confirm the live order, warehouse and parcel screens before payment.

Treat an iTaobuy order as two passes. First, classify the source: direct marketplace link, manual Fill&Buy request or forwarding. Compare the original listing with iTaobuy's parsed page and confirm the seller, variant, quantity, CNY price and domestic freight. Second, control the transaction: record the live conversion and payment amount, review warehouse photos promptly, then price the parcel before applying a coupon. For oversized goods, price MegaShip separately and confirm DDP coverage, minimums and restrictions. Fees and promotions here are a dated snapshot, not a guarantee; recheck the live order, warehouse and parcel screens before paying.
Choose the route before comparing prices
Direct Buy is for supported marketplace pages that iTaobuy can parse into a normal order. Fill&Buy is the manual route for seller albums, second-hand listings or private offers that need buyer instructions. Forwarding is different: you purchase independently and send the parcel to the iTaobuy warehouse. All three can end in consolidation, but responsibility for seller communication and order details is not identical. Decide the route before comparing costs.
The spreadsheet handoff is where variants go wrong
A spreadsheet cell usually carries a source URL, not a complete buying decision. Open the original listing and the iTaobuy result side by side. Match the seller, item identity, selected version, quantity, source price and Chinese domestic freight. If the page cannot be parsed, do not force it through Direct Buy; move it to Fill&Buy and preserve the seller's instructions. This small handoff check prevents a clean-looking agent page from hiding a wrong variant or an incomplete manual order.
Warehouse arrival is a decision point
Warehouse intake creates four choices: accept the item, ask for clarification, seek a return or keep it for consolidation. Basic inspection checks visible defects and whether obvious details such as size and color appear correct. It cannot establish authenticity, internal materials, fit or durability. Review images promptly rather than treating the 90-day free-storage period as a reason to delay. The warehouse clock is for consolidation planning, not quality assurance.
Build the parcel around weight, route and cover
Ordinary parcel lines suit typical consumer hauls and should be compared by chargeable weight, restrictions, tax treatment, compensation and route estimate. MegaShip is a separate DDP sea-freight use case for eligible oversized consignments of up to 3 tons to the EU, United States, United Kingdom and Canada. A lower per-kilogram headline does not automatically make sea freight suitable: confirm minimums, destination coverage, item restrictions, handling needs and the live final quote.
Follow one dated cost trail
A useful spreadsheet check records both the source price and the agent's displayed total. In the supplied 2026-09-19 example, a Weidian item showed CNY 860 on iTaobuy and US$151.29 for the product; 860 divided by 151.29 equals 5.6844 CNY per US$1. The same preview added CNY 15 domestic shipping (US$2.64), making the order total US$153.93, with international shipping excluded. This is a checkout snapshot, not a permanent rate. Re-run the calculation for the actual order and record the date, currency, domestic charges, optional services and international shipping separately.
